Jolly's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jolly's Story...
Jolly is a beautiful 9 week old puppy. He and his siblings, Candy, Holly and Jingles were pulled from death row from a high kill shelter. When they arrived they were seriously underweight and scared. Now these babies are happy, healthy, fed well and are going through our quarantine program.

Once they are fully vetted (spay/neutered and up to date with shots) they will be available for adoption (mid January).

If you are interested in adopting one of the puppies from this litter, please contact us at sweetestdogrescue@gmail.com and ask that we send you an adoption applicaiton.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jolly, a Shelter Island Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Shelter Island, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Shelter Island.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelter Island already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelter Island breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelter Island paves the way for another one to be saved.
