My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

OH MY GOODNESS! A BIG WELCOME to "LEXY"!!

LEXY IS NOT A "RESCUED" POODLE, BUT A "REHOME" POODLE.

What a beautiful, charming and delightful Standard Poodle who is AKC registered, spayed, blue who was born on 08/27/2004. This is a big girl at 77 pounds and 28" tall from the floor to her shoulders.

Since a puppy, she has been with only ONE family her entire life where she was deeply loved and well cared for.

Sadly and tearfully, due to a family illness, Lexy was surrendered to us. Can you imagine the pain of doing this during the Christmas time? Hugs to Patty and her husband...

What a wonderful girl Lexy is. I have not heard her bark, so she is quite, yet she is so smart! She will come when called, will sit upon command and will do a down.

She just LOVES to go for walks and wants to be a part of a family life. She is very inquisitive, sociable and outgoing with not a mean bone in her fun-loving body.

Lexy has been taught to stay off the furniture, but was able to sleep in bed with her family. We do not allow large dogs in bed with us (I usually fall out!), so the option of her sleeping with you is available.

We have ALL of Lexy's past Vet records which show that she has been well cared for, shots are up to date, heartworm checked and placed on a preventative, routinely wormed and teeth were cleaned.

The only problem we are having with Lexy is that my husband, Mike, has quickly fallen in love with HER! That's nice, but we do have small Toy Poodles here.

While Lexy is fine with all our Poodles and all dogs, it is best that she goes to home with no small dogs or small (toddler) children.

Lexy's Vet check-up went just fine. She was heartworm/Lymes tested negative and her teeth easily cleaned up nicely. Just 1 tooth was pulled as it was broken and a nerve was exposed.

Lexy is now available for adoption! What a rare opportunity for the right family.

Her $250.00 adoption fee includes the large kennel she came with, her toys, brand new retractable leash, collar, 25 pounds of dog food, blankets, dog dishes, a big dog food container (on wheels!), all her Vet records and her basket of stuff!

More pictures are available on our web site. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like Lexy's "Application For Adoption".
