Meet George. He is a cutie. Don't you just want to pet that soft hair? He loves playing with other dogs. He will engage them to play with him. He runs around and plays tag and chase. He loves to play with squeaky toys. George would love to have you throw the ball for him. George has not shed and keeps a clean kennel. We are 90% sure he is hypoallergenic. George is food motivated so he should be easy to train. He will sit/lay down on command now but he would like to learn more tricks. He walks well on a leash too. They call him snoopy at the shelter because he sits on top is his dog house and watches everything going on around him. He is a very well behaved boy. He doesn't mind when you pull ears or tail. Would you like a best friend who will show you unconditional love? George could be the one you have been looking for.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
