Rico's Story...
Call 813-930-5553 or email NHDRadoptions@gmail.com for more information or to meet Rico!

Rico is a young (2.5yr), male, Jack Russell mix who weighs about 15lbs. He is such a happy, fun, intelligent little dog who is active, but also enjoys his snuggle time. He would make a great playmate if your current dog is looking for a friend. He especially loves female dogs. Rico is great with older kids (and young ones who are respectful), knows basic commands, walks well on a leash and is a superstar in his basic dog training class. He enjoys long walks on the beach, swimming and then snuggling up in your lap for nap time. Rico is ready to find his forever home with his new pack leader. Will it be with you?

Rico is neutered, microchipped, heartworm free and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $75.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a St Petersburg Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
