My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Quincy! Quincy is a cutie little low-rider pup, only 9 months old. He was rescued from a rural southern kill shelter as his time was running out! Quincy seems to love everyone he meets! He is a calm, chill, laid back guy, but he does love to play with other dogs. He is believed to possibly be a corgi mix or maybe a basset hound, maybe with black mouth cur. He has short, squat little legs and a long body like a corgi, but the coloring of a cur. However, we make no breed guarantees as we do not DNA test the dogs we rescue!

Quincy weighs 43 lbs and should not get any bigger. In fact, he could stand to lose a few pounds! Now in a loving foster home, Quincy is getting to experience his first time with snow and is greatly enjoying it! He thinks it is a treat! As he walks through the yard, he grabs a mouthful of snow and munches! Quincy also loves to hoard dog toys and makes a pile of them, but his foster siblings don't seem to mind! He is friendly and gentle, and his foster mom describes him as "a real gentleman." He is almost completely housebroken which is huge considering he spent quite some time in a shelter kennel! He also does great on a leash and has been wonderful with the foster family's cat. He has begun basic training and is learning about living in a home. Quincy's adopters will need to continue his basic training to bring out his full potential.

Quincy has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative) and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He has also received a basic vet exam and appears to be a very healthy guy!
