Lily's Story...
Meet Lily, a gorgeous 5-month-old long-haired grey tabby kitten. She was rescued from the shelter when very young and raised indoors in a loving foster home. She is very sweet, but she loves to play. She is quite a fireball at times and would do best in a home with another cat to play with. Although she isn't a fan of cuddling, she loves to be around you and really enjoys petting. The adoption fee is only $40 and she's already been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. You may see her at the Weatherford PetSmart Adoption Center, located at the shopping center at I-20 exit 408. Call 817-598-0702 for directions and hours. Please bring a cat carrier with you or plan to purchase one at the store. For their safety, adopted cats must leave in a cat carrier. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a Weatherford Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
