Hi! My name is Freckles. Are you looking for me? Because I am looking for you...my forever family. I was born in May of 2013 and very soon after found myself in "doggie jail". I spent two months there because I was a shelter favorite and they just knew if they held on long enough, someone would come and get me. They were right! Some very special people from You Lucky Dog Rescue saved my life one cold November day and I am so very grateful. Since I left there, I have learned how to potty outside, sleep in a crate, walk on a leash and I even started some obedience training with my foster mom. I am learning to be a really good boy. I have also been introduced to some strange animals called cats. They climb on everything and sleep in the weirdest places. I really don't mind them, if they would let me, I might even take a nap beside them. I love my fur brothers and sisters, and will do best in a home with another dog to keep me company that is about my size and has my energy level. I don't do well around small dogs, or dogs that like to rest a lot, because I always want to play and they get annoyed with my persistence. I will fit in best in a home without small children. I love to play fetch and my favorite toy is a Nylabone that I can't chew up. I have a beautiful, shiny black coat with the most adorable freckles on my nose and chin...I think that's how I got me name!
