Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If Santa forgot to bring you that Black Lab that you were wanting for Christmas, you may have to take matters into your own hands. Meet this handsome, sleek, gorgeous black Labrador retriever mix named Chase. Chase is about as close to full blooded as they get and may even be, but since we have no history on him before he arrived at our rescue, we will say that he is a "mix". Chase's scumbag owner drove him out to our rescue and left him in the dead of night tied to the fence. And just so we wouldn't think that the owner was a total dirtbag, they left a bowl of food next to Chase and the rest of the bag. Have a happy life, Chase. Frightened to death, Chase waited through the night without shelter there at the fence until our volunteer arrived the next morning. He was still a little skittish and frightened, but with our careful patience and love, Chase is actually a wonderful guy, very playful, very loving, and very much a dog that anyone would want. He is healthy and is very happy that he is now being loved and cared for the way he should. He does well on his leash and would be a wonderful running partner or family pet.
Chase is 12 months old and weighs 45 - 50 lbs. He has been started on his vaccines and will be neutered soon. He is testing heart worm negative and is currently on all monthly preventatives for fleas/ticks/parasites, and heart worms. Chase would be ready to transport to his new home by mid January.
