My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blue may seem like a strange name for a dog, until you meet him and gaze into his amazing blue eyes! Blue looks like he might be part pointer with maybe some hound tossed in. He is about 7 months old, and weighs just over 23 pounds. Blue is thin for his size, and needs to gain a few pounds. Our best guess is he will grow into a medium size dog, but that's just a guess.

Blue came to us along with his best friend and kennel mate Black (we kid you not) who is also up for adoption (see Black Velvet). Although Blue is a new arrival, we know he gets along well with other dogs, rarely barks, and is very attentive. He walks nicely on a leash and is very calm and well-behaved for such a young dog.

His foster home says "Blue has a sweet demeanor and a puppy's natural curiosity. He gets along very well with our terrier, and is not afraid of anyone in our family or any visitors. He is already sitting on command after just a few days of instruction, and is almost accident free! Blue will be a happy, loving addition to any family."

Since he's still young, Blue needs a family where someone is home part or all day to finish his potty-training as well as keep him exercised and socialized. Blue is ready to go to puppy obedience school, and we won't be surprised if he's the blue ribbon winner for best student!

Blue's adoption fee of $320 includes: vet exam, flea preventative, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming and neuter.
