Twinkle's Story...
Meet Twinkle. Twinkle is a 9 week old pittie mix who currently weighs in at a whopping 3 lbs. Twinkle was rescued from a back yard breeder who clearly was not taking care of this little pup. Twinkle is UTD on age appropriate shots and will be spayed when she reaches appropriate age. Though small in nature, she is big in personality and gets along well with her canine foster siblings and even does well with the resident kitty. She is working on all her basic commands and housetraing and her foster mom reports that she does really well in her crate. For more info on Twinkle, Pleas email us at contact@thankdogrescue.org or for an application please go to Thankdogrescue.org/adopt

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twinkle, a Newtown American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Newtown, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Newtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
