Buttons's Story...
I don’t understand…

Buttons is quite confused about the turn of events in her life. She and Inky were originally adopted as kittens from PAWS of Coronado back in December 2012 to a military family. About six months ago, the family then brought Pearl home as a feline companion to Buttons and Inky, now Itsy.

But then when the family was recently scheduled to move, they relinquished all three cats to the Coronado Animal Care Facility and none of the cats can understand why.

Buttons is trying not to let her circumstances get her down and is using her charming personality to make the best of things.

At just a year and a half old, she is still very playful and enjoys the company of people and other cats. She is the more easy going of the three cats and is making herself at home at the facility while she waits for her new family to come discover her.

Are you looking for a beautiful brown tabby girl to be a delightful and loyal feline companion? Buttons is waiting to show you her sparkling personality. Come meet her and see just what a cool cat she is!

You can meet Buttons at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm (except holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Buttons, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications may be completed online.

If you have any questions, please call Bob at 619-840-9727.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buttons, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
