Sir Nigel's Story...
Meet Sir Nigel, the wonderful !
Hi there , my name is Nigel, Sir Nigel that is, and I want to be the knight of your
heart. My previous person got very ill and had to give me up. Currently I am
residing at a wonderful foster home, but I am itching for a person of my own.
You see, I am a super playful and affectionate young man - I am only three years
old- and love to chase feathers and other toys. What is going on with my eyes,
you ask? Well, I had an accident when I was a baby and lost my sight, but that
does not slow me down one bit. The vet gave me a clean bill of health, so I am
READY for you as long as you keep me indoors. Thanks.

I can’t wait to meet you. Yours truly, Sir Nigel.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sir Nigel, a Portland American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
