Cosmo's Story...
Hello, my name is Cosmo and I am a little teacup Maltese. I am approximately 20 months old. I used to have some real bad owners. They chained me outside all the time and then when they moved to another house they left me behind. Lucky for me one of the neighbors brought me to this cool rescue farm. I get to sleep in bed with the "Crazy Dog Lady"!! She loves me very much but she already has lots of little dogs and I would love not to have to share my new mommy or daddy with 13 Chihuahuas! Won't you please adopt me today? I am up to date on all of my shots, house broken, heart worm negative, neutered and ready for transport! ADOPTION FEE $550

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo, a Portland Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Maltese puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
