Asha's Story...
ADOPTION PENDING Asha is a 15 month old girl whom we believe to be a pure bred Rottie. She is stunning dog. Found wandering in Brooklyn several months ago, she was taken to the NYCACC. Asha had contracted pneumonia and also needed some cosmetic surgery for cherry eyes, but she is now healthy and on the prowl for her own home. She is in foster care with 5 other large dogs. Asha still has some mild lingering puppy behaviors probably due to having been a stray and then sick during her younger puppy days. But with managing her environment, she is doing so much better and is 100% a charmer! Contact for an application for Asha is Beth at kaya1227@comcast.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Asha, a Frederick Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
