My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/12/14 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!

Adoption Fee: $600
Fostered in Louisiana
Age: 1 year
Weight: 8 lbs.

1/6/14 -
Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and do something unexpected. So, here goes. I’m going to adopt myself. Of course, I’ll need your help with the adoption fee, a place to stay, some food and a bath, every now and then. But other than that, I’ve got it all covered. By the way, my name is Chloe and I am a sweet little girl that loves attention and to be talked to.

I am in a foster home with another small dog, but I have to admit, I would probably do better being the only pup and getting all the attention. I haven’t really had a chance to learn this play thing and when the other pup in the home tries to play with me or plays with toys by herself, I get a little overwhelmed and nip her butt. Foster mom doesn’t think I’m playing so much as I am trying to calm everyone down and I get very intense. I previously lived in a home with a larger dog, and played rough around her, but still didn’t actually understand the hype of “playing together”. I do just fine with my humans.

Even though my last family loved me, they did not have enough time for me so asked YHR to find me a home where I could get all the attention they knew I deserved. My home before that purchased me from a breeder and had me 8 months before realizing they didn’t want a puppy. Boy, it seems not a lot of thought process goes into getting a dog anymore. Thank God for rescue groups that will screen for us and make sure that it sticks so we don’t have to be bounced around.

Anyway, I’m being a good little girl in my foster home and foster mom says I am a great dog. I love attention and to follow you around and would love a mom and dad that wanted to shower me with love and affection. I am definitely a lap dog and LOVE to be cradled, held and will snuggle with you. I play fetch, loves toys and love to play these things with my humans. I seem to do great around older children and am very gentle and intune with them and would love one to play with, but since I am one that would run out with open doors, the household would have to be mature enough that friends aren’t over and doors are being left open.

So, think about this, see if you can provide what I want, and if so, email my foster mom. If we are a match, I could just join you before Valentine’s Day! XXXOOO Chloe
