Silas *Trained's Story...
Silas is a fun and sweet boy who needs a good home with lots of room to run. He would do well in a home with a fenced in yard. He is pretty smart and will find his way out if it isn't tall enough. Silas is currently enrolled in our New Leash on Life basic obedience program. "Silas is a great dog. He is young and very energetic. He is smart and can brighten your day. He knows how to respond to your commands such as sit, stay, wait, and "look" which means focus. He is getting better with "heeling" which means to stay leveled at your left side while walking. At times he can become a little over excited and may want to pull, but with one simple correction he will calm down. Silas can be very comforting and tends to rub up against you to be petted. It is the attention he seeks. If you are looking for a loving and caring dog full of energy Silas is the pet for you." Dog Trainer

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Silas *Trained, a Newland Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Newland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Newland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newland paves the way for another one to be saved.
