My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CandyCane is an adorable little girl, arriving Christmas week at about 7 weeks old and weighing 4 pounds. Her one white paw looks like she got caught with her hand in the jar of vanilla frosting! She is the smallest of her litter and still a bit unsure of the big world she now finds herself in.

CandyCane looks a lot like her mom (see Strudel, terrier mix) who weighs 20 pounds. We don't know anything about the dad, or how big CandyCane will be when fully grown. Since she's so young, she needs a family with a stay-at-home person to begin her potty-training and obedience training, as well as keep her exercised and socialized. Because of her small size and timidness, she will need a peaceful environment and time to come out of her shell.

You can meet this little girl at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

We estimate Candy's date of birth to be 11/4/13 and her adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, flea preventative, DAPP (distemper-parvo combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming and spay.
