My story

CTHDR Adoption Application

Sassy is as cute as they come. Her small size is balanced by her bubbly personality. The description "she has never met a stranger" fits her to a T as her wagging tail changes from back and forth to a full circle as she meets each new person. She loves to snuggle and gives kisses to all. Although it took her a while to figure out what a treat was, she now takes them gently from your hand.
Sassy is a spayed female between 2 and 3 years and about 40 lbs. She appears to be a Shepherd mix with possibly Border Collie and "handsome wandering stranger". Since she was picked up as a stray, it is hard for us to know for certain, but she looks the part. Sassy is crate trained and a very quiet little lady when all other dogs are barking around her. She loves to ride in the car and can be loose or crated. She has a very sweet and kind disposition with everyone except cats-she will need to be in a cat free home. Her energy level is medium needing some walking, jogging, tennis ball chasing, or hiking daily. Sassy is working on her obedience commands and leash walking manners. She gets along well with other dogs, but may prefer to live with male dogs. She is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, Heartworm negative and on Heartworm and flea/tick prevention. If you are interested in Sassy or other CTHDR dogs, there is an application process.
