My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casper came from a local OK shelter, extremely underweight and afraid. His health wasn't improving and after several tests Casper was found to have a life threatening liver shunt. He has underwent surgery to repair the liver and is now happy and healthy. Casper is about 1-1.5 yrs old, Great Pyrenees/ Lab mix most likely. He has had a bad start at life but now he is fun loving, affectionate, goofy and ready to find his for-ever family as a beloved family member.

Casper is house trained, trustworthy left alone with the run of the house, good with other dogs and enjoys romping and playing. He is also cat safe, good on lead and a good car rider. He would do best in a home with another dog his size, he'd love to have a girlfriend but has gotten along fine with males too. He'd enjoy a quieter home so looking for an adult family or family with older kids. He is a typical friendly pyr. that is happy to meet new people, but also will use his bark to ward off anything he deems threatening around his home. Casper loves to hang out with you and watch t.v. or cuddle up for a nap and after everything he's been through allowing him on the couch seemed the least we could do to make him happy, so he is looking for a home that's okay with him hanging out with you on the couch.

Casper is fully vetted including all vaccines, dewormed, neutered, heart worm negative, microchipped, and utd on monthly prev meds. Because of his liver shunt he will need a liver supportive medication for life as well as a specific dogfood for liver support.
