Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Welcome to the "berry litter" - a group of heeler/beagle mix pups, born on 11/4/13, who came to Forget Me Not as a Stop the Cycle litter. Mama will be spayed on a Forget Me Not voucher and returned to her owner, and all the pups will be spayed/neutered before leaving. They will be ready to go home 1/25/14.
These pups weigh in at 6 pounds at 8 weeks old, with the exception of "big brother" Loganberry who is a hefty 7.5 pounds. We expect they will be around 40 pounds full-grown. Although the pups (who arrived on 12/31/13) are a bit confused by their new surroundings, they are happy, frisky, social pups that will make excellent family pets.
Cranberry is a sweet girl, white with red patches.
Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. Cranberry's ideal home will have someone who can exercise her with a couple of energetic walks each day, plus commitment to training her how to be the best dog she can be. Cranberry hopes to have very few hours per day when she will be without the companionship of a human or other pet. She will reward her forever person with boundless love and loyalty! We start all puppies on their vaccinations as soon as they arrive at the shelter (Cranberry will have had 2 vaccinations before she goes home, and will require one final booster shortly after arrival, then rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age).
Cranberry comes with a 30-day money-back trial adoption period. We will be accepting applications for these pups until 1/15/14, and will then work with approved adopters to assign pups based on individual "pupsonalities" that will be developing during their time in foster care.
Spay/neuter, worming, microchip and all age-appropriate shots are always completed before placement, and are included in the adoption fee (suggested minimum $108; more gratefully accepted!)
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your payment to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
