My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 6 years
Gender: Male
Color: Liver & White
Weight: 60 lbs
Variety: Field
Meet Mylo, who came to ESRA after his former owner could no longer care for him. This handsome boy loves to please. He is smart, mellow, potty trained, and crate trained. He will come when called. He responds well to positive reinforcement and has shown himself to be trainable.

Mylo thinks you should know that he feels entitled to an opinion and is therefore obligated to express one! He will tell you when something is not to his liking. For example, he tolerates other dogs very well, but if he wants to be left alone, he just says so. He isn't aggressive; he's just vocal. Mylo would be wonderful in a home with just adults or adults and older children who can understand his preferences.

Though he doesn't live with cats, Mylo has encountered them, and the cats showed him who was boss. He proved himself to be respectful.

Mylo is healthy, though he tested postive for exposure to Lyme disease. He has a slight limp in his right hip that could be due to the Lyme, although we aren't sure of the cause. Sometimes Mylo tries to be a puppy with his foster sister, playing in the deep snow and having all sorts of fun. He may be a bit sore the next day from overexertion, but a little rest goes a long way. It just goes to show that you can't keep a good Mylo down!

Mylo is excited about starting a new chapter in the new year. Contact his case managers at the e-mail address below if you'd like to know more about this great boy.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Mylo.
