My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Huckleberry is a very precious Pointer mix pulled out of a shelter near Vermillion, IL. We know that he was used as a testing dog for a food plant near Champaign, IL and was given away when the plant was done testing on him. His owner then dumped him in the county pound only after a few weeks and a heartworm snap test at the shelter showed a low pos. We have followed up with 2 tests and he is in fact negative. He is a charming sweet playful puppy and is GREAT with kids and other dogs. We need a new foster home for him as the girls in his current home are bullying him. Shop for custom calendars, mugs and T-shirts at our Cafe Press fundraising website and choose merchandise featuring Pointers, Setters, Hunting Dogs or Friendly Mutts. All of our calendar stars are rescued dogs that would have been euthanized in shelters across the Mid-West had IBR not stepped in to save them. Your support does make a difference!!
