My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Color: Black & White Black & White
Weight: 70 lbs 76
Variety: Field Field
Meet Blossom and Turbo! These littermates have been together for all of their eight years. Sadly, they found themselves at an animal control facility when their owner could no longer care for them. ESRA stepped in and found that, according to a complete vet record, they had received wonderful attention, socialization, and veterinary care throughout their lives.

These siblings are bonded to each other, and we will be adopting them together. Turbo and Blossom play great together and sleep together, and where one goes, the other follows. They do, however, show one bit of true sibling rivalry: in a sea of toys to choose from, one always wants the toy the other has!

Both dogs are overweight right now, and their foster family has made a resolution on their behalf to help them lose weight and keep it off. The vet reports that Blossom and Turbo have great muscle tone and are quite healthy, so they have a good start. Their energy level will help, too.

Turbo and Blossom are not couch potatoes! Even in the awfully cold weather, they want nothing more than to go outside and play ball. They are excited to meet people, to run around the yard, to play with toys, and to be loved. They get along with other dogs, and they previously lived with cats, but they really prefer to stick with each other.

Blossom has eyes that are liquid soul. She's perhaps the more outgoing of the two in new circumstances and with new people. She scouts the situation out and then lets her brother know that it's okay.

Turbo is a "roll in the snow" fanatic. He was so excited to get to the snow one day that he leapt off the deck at his foster home. He looked like a real-life version of an elephant ballerina in the cartoons! Turbo is a goofy boy who is also so sweet and tenderhearted. He lets his sister take the lead, but he soon follows along enthusiastically.

At night Blossom and Turbo share a large kennel, which they keep dry and clean. Turbo also likes to hide out in the kennel during the day if he needs a break. Both recently had haircuts, and they sat perfectly still and behaved patiently while they were primped.

Their foster mom warns about sitting on the floor with Blossom and Turbo in the house: two of the biggest, mushiest puppies come running for attention and lean or lie right on top of the nearest human, both trying to get in front of the other (but never with a growl).

This great pair is ready for a home where they can frolic in the yard together, soak up attention, and return love in copious amounts. Just try to keep from smiling with these wiggle-butts staring up at you! If you'd like to know more about these wonderful dogs, please contact us at the e-mail address below.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Blossom.
