Gypsy's Story...
Gypsy will not be available for adoption until 1/15/14. In the meantime, we are currently accepting applications on her. Applications can be found at our website animalwelfareassociation.org and submitted via email to caseyrayfield@yahoo.com or to startingover@centurytel.net. Please call Casey at 1-573-579-6400 if you have any questions regarding Gypsy or the application process.

Gypsy is a 12 month old Golden Retriever/Beagle/Labrador Retriever mix. She is about 40lbs, a petite medium sized girl. Gypsy got her name because she was found traveling a state highway in Warren County Mo. A kind stranger scooped her up and gave her sanctuary until we were able to take her in. She is very sweet. A bit cautious at first but warms up quickly.

She is not guaranteed to be housebroken but doing very well with crate training. Gypsy is open to meeting new friends (dogs); so if you have a dog a proper meet and greet/introduction must be done before her adoption can be completed. She has yet to meet a cat but seems to enjoy the company of children (any age). She has not been exposed to cats that we know of.

Gypsy's adoption fee is $150.00. She has been fecal checked and heart worm tested(both negative-along with any medication prescribed by our veterinarian), is current on flea/tick/Heartworm preventive, received all age appropriate shots, spayed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy, a Warrenton Golden Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Beagle for sale in Warrenton, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Warrenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warrenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warrenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warrenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
