My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sasha was found abandoned on a gravel road, so we know nothing about her former life. However, she is the sweetest dog you could ever hope to meet.

Sasha is an adult, approximately 6-7 years of age. She has only one eye, and this is the reason we recommend a home without small children. She will not be able to see children that run up to her blind side and that can be scary for a dog, especially a small one. Her remaining eye has a condition that has caused the cornea to become pigmented, and therefore she doesn't have perfect vision in her remaining eye. While this cannot be reversed, further worsening can be slowed or stopped with medication.

Her temporary foster parents cannot believe how sweet and docile she has been, even during her veterinary exam, bath, toenail trim and removal of matts from her coat. Even after all of that, she didn't shy away--she still wants to be petted and loved on, and doesn't complain when it's time to go in her crate.

Sasha is in need of a foster and/or forever home. Her description will be updated as we learn more about this precious soul.
