Hazel's Story...
Meet Hazel!

A busy body with her heart in the right place, Hazel is ready to move into her new digs!

This medium energy girl is kid and dog friendly, curious and sweet. At just 7 years old we believe little Hazel has lots of great years left to provide you with kisses and plenty of tail wags. Rescued from a high kill shelter in West Virginia, Hazel made her way to rescue recently and we’re thrilled to have her join us. Currently in foster care, we know that Hazel no doubt was someone's “mommy” and because of that she currently is on a lower calorie diet. Up-to-date on shots, this pretty dog is ready for a new life – could you be the one to provide that for her?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
