Hi there! Nikki here!! I am 1 year old and I weigh about 60 lbs.
I was originally found as a stray in Salem and was brought in to the pound. I was adopted out to a family, but I was just returned. My old family stated that I was too high energy, I would accidentally knock the children over when we played and that I would get up on the counter and steal things then run from them so they would have to chase me down to retrieve the items I had stolen. I thought it was just a game and that we were all having fun, but I guess it wasn't and now I am stuck here at the pound again looking for a new family that can give me training, love and patience while I learn what is and is not okay.
I am a super great dog here at the pound. I have pretty good manners. I know how to sit, lay down, come when I am called, etc. I am a great, sweet, loving dog with people and I am also wonderful with other dogs. I love to run and play! A home with another playful dog would be ideal for me as it is a great way for me to burn off excess energy. I would love a large fenced yard or an active family so that I can stay busy.
My previous owner stated that I am housebroken too, so that is an added bonus as well!!

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER MARCH 20, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
