Pongo's Story...
Hi! I'm Pongo! I am SO excited because I am not in the shelter anymore!!! I'm just over a year old and they think I am a Border Collie mix. I LOVE to play and be with people! Playing with dogs is lots of fun too! They are working on crate-training me and I'm learning to use the bathroom outside. I'm also learning what furniture I can and can't be on! I REALLY like being with my person! Laying down by their feet and accompanying them to the bathroom. I'm always game for anything! Hikes! Dog Park! Naps! Whatever you are up for, I am up for! Let's Meet! I'm in Huntsville, AL. To setup a playdate, send an email to info@FORrescue.net. They say I am a great all around dog for any family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pongo, a Marietta Border Collie/Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Weimaraner for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Border Collie/Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Weimaraner breeders who help with Border Collie/Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
