SANDY's Story...
SWEET SANDY is up for adoption! This beautifully colored two-toned brown Border Collie Mix is about 5 years young. She loves to cuddle, be petted, take walks and, of course, eat treats!! SANDY is a low-key type of dog. She gets along with dogs but doesn't care for the crazy ones jumping in her face. She also does not care for cats. SANDY would be a great family dog. It doesn't appear she ever learned to play with dog toys so she's not too interested in them. She loves affection and attention and is very well mannered. SANDY is doing a great job with her commands in THE CAMP CANINE TRAINING PROGRAM and she will be a loyal companion to any family that chooses to add her to their family! SANDY has completed her CAMP CANINE TRAINING which gives her the skills to politely interact with humans and other dogs. SANDY is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. To meet this absolute love bug, contact the Humane Society of Oldham County at email: Lisannehsoc@yahoo.com or phone our office at 502-222-7537.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SANDY, a LaGrange Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
