Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maltese are one of the favorite designer breeds....and as such they're overbred for monetary purposes...and then thrown away if they don't bring enough money. We feel that Lindsey, a gorgeous girl who is about 2.5 - 3 years old and 10 or so lbs, could have fallen into this category and consequently ended up in a high-kill situation. It was her incredibly sweet temperament that saved her life! She was recognized for being a lap-dog extraordinaire...so perfect for anyone who enjoys a fuzzy companion as a best friend. The following is Lindsey's foster mom's report on this awesome little girl:
Lindsey is an extremely loving dog! The only thing she seems to care about is giving love and receiving love. I think it is safe to say that Lindsey has passed the human temperament test in my house with an absolutely perfect score (we have an all-adult household). She doesn't dislike other dogs....it's just that Lindsey loves being a one and only....she wins your heart in the biggest way possible and it's so wonderful to spend one- on- one time just cuddling and stroking her cotton-soft coat. She seems to love everyone who might visit or might encounter when she's out and about... but in the end Lindsey is a very loyal girl who loves her family beyond description.. Lindsey doesn't really care about playing with toys all that much (unless there's a truly special one that I'm not aware of). Again...her joy is being with her person..be it on their lap or taking leisurely walks. She absolutely loves going for strolls around the neighborhood...she's so good and sweet. Lindsey also loves car rides and is wonderful no matter how many hours I drag her around town... she loves to climb into my lap and give me the sweetest kisses. At the end of the day...Lindsey's favorite thing is to sleep in my bed and doesn't make a move until I get up the next morning. She is a sweetheart and will spend her whole life so devoted to her people and making every effort to make them happy with her.
