This is Melvin! He was found by a dog lover running down the middle of a busy farm-to-market road. No tags, no microchip. No owners found. Walks GREAT on a leash, gets along with other dogs. Not sure about cats. He's a pretty young adult male and ready for a forever home. Please call Cheryl at 979.732.5591 for more information on Melvin. His adoption fee is $70.00. He will be at Petco, Mason Rd, Katy on Saturdays if you'd like to take him on a walk!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melvin, a Cat Spring Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Cat Spring, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cat Spring.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cat Spring already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cat Spring breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cat Spring paves the way for another one to be saved.
