Charlie's Story...
Hey there! My name's Charlie, what's yours? I was found as a stray and brought into the shelter. Who knows where I came from and what happened to my owners. Now I'm here in search of my forever home. They're guessing I'm a hound/lab mix, and am around 6 year old. I'm friendly and good natured. I'm up to date on shots, neutered, and have a microchip. Now what I really need is someone to love me and give me a home! Are you looking for a new furry friend? Think I might be the one? The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Youngwood Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
