Birthdate 12/28/2012 Millie is a bundle of joy. She's got the best attitude. She plays hard and sleeps even harder. She seems to love all that life has to offer; kids, dogs and other kitties! She is quite the squirrel watcher from her window perch.

Millie was abandonded on a doorstep with a note... 'Please take care of my cat, as my wife is allergic'. We've since found out that was most likely not the true reason. Millie has diabetes insipidus. The pituitary gland fails to secrete the anti-diuretic hormone, vasopressin and this results in the kidneys not being able to conserve water or controlling the concentration of urine. Before she began treatment Millie drank very large amounts of water daily, now she drinks normally. She receives RX eye drops every 12 hours. Her care costs approx $40 per month . . . about the same cost as one daily coffee or soda!
