Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hyde is a sturdily built 40-45 pound red heeler mix. He is 8-10 months old and heart worm negative. His soft, healthy coat sports all the colors of the peanuts, popcorn and caramel in a box of Cracker Jack- and Hyde is the prize! The dark coloring around his eyes gives him a sad and mournful expression- the proverbial hang-dog look. But it is a short leap from urge to frolic for this still energetic pup to rocket off to romp and run with the other dogs in his foster home. Hyde also gets along well with cats and horses.
Like most dogs with herding ancestry, indifference is not in his DNA. Hyde courts human interaction and is comfortable around people and focused on them. He is bright and highly trainable and would do well with a ‘job’ in his forever home- bringing in the paper, jogging with his master, playing fetch or Frisbee with the family children. He is a quick study and learned ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ from his foster mom in record time.
Hyde is a beautiful athlete and a perfect blend of smart and sweet and will be a wonderful companion for his forever family. To learn more about Hyde or to set up a meet and greet, please contact his foster mom at carolineford74@yahoo.com.
