Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mop is one of the most gorgeous kittens you will ever meet. She is absolutely gorgeous with fluffy fur, tabby markings, swirls across her back, and a giant bib of fluff under her chin. She walks low to the ground, which makes her look like a little mop as she goes. She looks like a traditional Maine Coon kitten, though she is clearly a mix.
Mop is VERY shy and learning to trust people. She was trapped with her mama and two siblings on the south side of Chicago in December. The family was starving and freezing, but they were still scared. Since then, she has grown accustomed to the good life of a warm room, fluffy beds (she loves cat beds), regular feedings, and toys galore. However, she is still very scared of people. When we sit with her quietly, she comes out from hiding and plays and eats. She also lets us scratch her back and sticks her butt up in the air for more. We think that with the right adopter and time, she will be a real joy.
Mop must be adopted with another cat or into a home with another kitty. She does love her brother Peter, but we also think she would do well with other cats. She is too shy to not have feline playmates to give her some comfort, and it is best for kittens to be in pairs anyway. She would LOVE to be adopted with her gorgeous mama.
Mop's adoption fee of $125 includes her spay, age-appropriate shots, deworming, virus testing (all negative!), and microchip and registration. We'll also make sure she keeps some of her toys, since she adores them.
