We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

Janie is an beautiful, soft coated mix of sheltie and lab--our best guess!. She is an extremely loving,playful girl who is 9-10 months old and weighs 25 pounds full grown, so if you like the lab temperament but not the size, come meet Janie. She gets along great with other dogs and cats and is nothing but kisses to people. She loves kids of any age if supervised. Janie is doing well on her housetraining and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She's the perfect size and sweet as can be.Janie is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. Her $300 adoption fee is to cover her full veterinary care including spay, heartworm and lyme tests, heartworm pills, flea/tick prevention, all immunizations, worming and a HomeAgain microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.

• Previous dog owning experience: Preferred
• Age of children:Any age if supervised
• Another dog in the home: Not needed if human is home most of the time but she loves to play with other dogs.
• Cat(s) in the home: Safe with cats
• Fenced yard: Small PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED
• Time alone on work days: Needs an adult home most of the time to continue her training and socialization.
