Tiggy's Story...
Meet the handsome Tiggy!! Tiggy is a 10 year old orange declawed male kitty. Remember 10 years old is not old in cat years, he has A LOT of years left! Tiggy was an owner surrender, his former owner moved to a place that only allowed one pet. Not sure why she gave up Tiggy because he is awesome and has so much to offer. So we would like to find a home for this guy really fast because he does NOT want to be here. Tiggy is very receptive to anyone he meets, he is friendly and loving. He was naturally upset about being at the shelter after living in a home for TEN years.............can you blame him??? We always place the cats in a crate until they acclimate to the shelter and Tiggy is not to happy about that, he kept meowing and wanting out! So I am sure he will be mingling in the cat room with the others soon. Please come by and meet this guy! We don't get too many declawed cats in if that is what you are looking for, too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiggy, a Marseilles Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marseilles, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marseilles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marseilles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marseilles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marseilles paves the way for another one to be saved.
