Kong's Story...
Everyone say hello to Kong! Kong is our handsome four-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler mix. This big boy is a big mush. He loves to give hugs and kisses to everyone he meets. He is very intelligent and knows some commands. Kong is extremely gentle and takes all treats very delicately. This gentle giant sometimes thinks he is the size of a cat and tries to curl up in the laps of our volunteers and staff members. Kong sometimes doesn't like other animals and needs to be in a home without cats or other dogs, where he can be treated like a king. Kong is neutered, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of New York City, and he'll get one free exam at our vet's office, one free month of pet health insurance and a microchip. If you'd like to adopt him please call or visit...we are conveniently located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn near the D/N/R (36th Street) trains and we're open every day from 11am to 7pm. Kong can't wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kong, a Brooklyn Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
