All of our Rescued pets are completely Vetted, up-to-date on shots, Microchipped, spayed/neutered and on monthly Flea and Heartworm prevention. Home Visit and reference checks a must, fenced yard required on most pets and you need to live within 30 miles of Ruskin, Florida. Buddy thinks he's a lap dog, at 45lbs, that's a big lap to fill! We've neglected finding him a forever home because he's so easy to live with and a great teacher with our other rescue dogs and puppies in our home. He really deserves his own family to love on him! Buddy was a pup when he was found on a busy rural road. Now he is a beautiful dog with a lovely, warm personality. He's funny, loves to run, plays fetch and knows basic commands. He LOVES to go on car rides! Buddy LOVES everyone, but he will make a great guard dog for your home! This guy wants a family with older kids or an adult who'll play with him every day! All of our adoptables are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and take monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Applications are also available at

About Critter Mama Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our President - Robin Roberts has been an animal lover her entire life. Animals naturally gravitate to her. Over 2013 she gathered area friends and community professionals to create Critter Mama Rescue, Inc. There is a warm outpouring of support, media coverage and private donations who continue to support the mission of this business.

We primarily work with one local Vet, Dr. Mark Wallace - About Pets, Inc - to care for all of our dogs and puppies we've rescued. We do occasionally rescue and re-home Cats and kittens under special circumstances.

Our Community relationships are the cornerstone of our ability to rescue, vet and care for abandoned, owner relinquished and neglected animals and then find them good, safe forever homes.

All of our work is done with a few faithful volunteers. These wonderful people assist us at local fundraising events where we occasionally showcase our adoptable dogs. Without our volunteers, continual fundraising efforts, our Board of Directors, and our community of support, we could not be as successful as we are in our goals for our rescue needing love, care and forever homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We work primarily in the "South Shore" area of Tampa. To date we do not pull from local shelters for our Critters.

Adoption Applications may be downloaded on our FB page under the "Notes" tab. Instructions are on the application.

Once an application is received and reviewed, we will call to make an appointment for viewing our Dogs and/or Puppies.

The easiest way to view and keep up with our adoptable dogs is on our Facebook page which is updated continually. Visit and like "Critter Mama Rescue" and share with your friends!

Our website is not as current as our Facebook page, but does have all pertinent information.

Our Adoption Process...

The Adoption Donation is $195.00 per Adult dog.Donation for Puppies under 2 years old is $225.00. Each dog/pup is Vet checked on intake and receives needed vaccinations, worming, Heartworm test, any needed treatments, monthly Flea and HW preventive and are microchipped. We make sure every dog we adopt is Spayed or Neutered and Healthy before they leave our Rescue.

An Adoption Application may be downloaded under the Adoption Tab on our website or on our Facebook page under the "Notes" tab. Once completed, return it to our email or snail mail address.

We are selective in our placements. We are looking for the best possible fit for the dog and the humans. Not everyone who applies to adopt will be approved. We have a strict Home Visit policy.

We may also ask for additional references and photos of you, your family and any current or past pets. We may also check your Vet references.
