Lucy's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Lucy's Story...
Lucy's a sweet little thing. There's something about the gray tabbies. They get adopted very quickly. We anticipate Lucy will be the same and won't be with us long. She's a real cutie and purrs like crazy when being petted. She gets along with all the other foster kitties and is fully vetted and ready for her permanent home.

If you're interested in meeting Lucy please fill out our on-line application on our web site (www.FatCatRescueInc.org) and we will arrange a day/time that's convenient for you. Or if you have questions please call 847-306-3688 and one of our volunteers will return your call.

Fat Cat's adoption fees are: $125 for kittens under 6 months; kittens over 6 months and cats are $100; for cats over 7 the fee is negotiable. Second adoptions are half price. The fees include spay/neuter, rabies, distemper, medication for ear mites, fleas, and worms, testing for feline leukemia and FIV, and microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Grayslake Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Grayslake, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Grayslake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grayslake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grayslake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grayslake paves the way for another one to be saved.
