My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet baby is my foster dog. I am looking for just the right home for her that will love her as much as I do.
Hi! My name is Carlie. I am a female, 18 month old beagle. Probably full blooded beagle, but I can't be sure. I was living in a place where they used me to make more little puppies so I have been a momma a few times. I got really hungry one day and went out to look for food. I stopped at a place where people were coming in and out of a door and it looked like food might be there. Every time the door opened, I tried to get in. But they wouldn't let me go inside and they called someone to come get me. I went to a place where the ladies were very nice to me. They gave me wonderful food and water and a quiet place to sleep. Then the day that I got spayed, one of the wonderful ladies took me home with her and that is where I am staying now. As much as I would love to stay here with her and her dogs and cats, I would really like to have a place to call my own. I'm really not much trouble at all. I am on the small size weighing just under 25 lbs. Since I am an adult already, I shouldn't get too much bigger. I have long, floppy ears and a really pretty short coat in tricolors of caramel, black, and white. I have a cute white tipped tail that all beagles have. I hardly ever bark and I get along great with my foster friends. They accepted me right away. I play with them all in the back yard. I am very quiet and calm and enjoy long naps during the day. I also will sleep all night in my crate or in my bed or even with my foster mom. I am house broken and know what to do when mom says "outside". I take off running outside with my foster friends to potty. I love to have my tummy rubbed and love to have you pet me and snuggle me. But I don't demand attention. I am very content to be just in the same room with you feeling safe and sound. Really, you will hardly know I am even around so I would be a great buddy and companion for you. Please think about adopting me and giving me a wonderful home.

Carlie is my foster dog and is a very special girl. She has endeared herself to me and I am looking for a wonderful home for her. Carlie is full grown at approx 25 lbs. She is a beagle and possibly full blooded. For that reason, she does need a secure fenced yard. Beagles instinctively will pick up a scent and follow it. And they are very serious and intent on the tracking. So a fence is a neccessity to help her know where her boundaries are. She has been spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has been fully heart worm treated. The only requirements she would have going forward is to be given her monthly heart worm/flea/tick/and parasite preventative AND LOTS OF LOVE. Carlie's personality is very calm. For that reason, I feel she would not do well in a very active home. She would enjoy a more quiet atmosphere with a mature couple or in a household with older children. She would be the perfect companion for a single individual. She is a great size for an apartment. She is great staying in her crate for a few hours when I run errands and never objects. She is not destructive or a chewer. She loves her treats and has a great appetite. She requires so very little from you. She is perfectly content to spend her day napping, going outside as needed, and just being close by. She rarely barks, rarely pants, and is not always demanding attention. I have never been around a more content dog. I can't even think of anything bad that she does. Well, one thing. She is a clothes stealer. She will frequently take my pajamas while I'm in the shower and I find them in her crate or in her bed. But it just shows me her devotion to people who care about her. She wants to keep them or their scent as close as possible to her.

Carlie would be ready to transport to her new home by the first week of February. Only inquire on this wonderful girl if you want to love her as much as she deserves.
