Happy SWEETCAKE the wigglebutt's Story...
Awww... Sweetcake! She is such a good little gal. Loves to play, loves her people, loves to snuggle... Sweetcake's perfect person or family would be a couple with grown up kids (or no kids), with a fenced yard and a quiet home, and maybe a good friend with a male dog who comes over sometimes for play. Sweetie is great around little kids (she has spent a lot of time with a volunteer's 4 year old) and dogs her size she meets, but does not want to live with kids or another dog 24/7. She loves hikes and being outdoors, so going on leashed activities with her family would be something she'd adore! She so loves her people, she'd make you feel like the best and most important person in the world, just for choosing her and being there for her. Sweetie is 60lbs, 3 years old, spayed, healthy and up to date on her shots! She rides great in the car, is super in a crate, and knows sit, down, stay, and heel!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy SWEETCAKE the wigglebutt, a Durham Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog for sale in Durham, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Durham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Durham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Durham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Durham paves the way for another one to be saved.
