My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE MAY 13TH I have been with my new foster family for almost a week. This is what they have reported back about me. "Bentley is a very sweet and loving dog. He is definitely a people dog and loves to be loved on. He enjoys the car immensely and is always ready for a car ride. Walks are great, especially very long ones, but if someone wanted to run with Bentley that would be ideal. He is young, but is eager to please. He is very gentle taking treats and needless to say loves them. He also loves play time; if you want to play tug of war or toss a ball he is game and will out last you. He loves playing with other dogs, in fact Playing is his middle name. He is not bothered by cats and is not at all prey driven. Squirrels, geese or chipmunks are just not his thing. He does love water, so access to a lake would be perfect. When its time for bed he goes to his bed and you don't hear another peep from him until 7 or so, in which case he loves to jump on the bed and get some belly rubs. He is not a morning dog so he is quite happy to doze as long as you want. Not even breakfast can entice him to get up. Frankly Bentley's only issue, and it is not one that we have had any problems with, is that he is a resource guarder of food. There are techniques for this, and if followed, should not cause any problems in the least." Bentley: So you see I am a pretty good boy - my foster parents told me that an ideal forever home for me would be a family with no children but with other dog/s. Access to water and someone who likes hiking or jogging. They also said that I would do best with someone who is very familiar with dogs, and in particular, rescue dogs. Can't wait to meet you and am dreaming of those lazy hazy days of summer with YOU! Much love, Bentley

My name is Bentley; I am a 2 ½ year old male Golden. I am a little bit underweight at 50 pounds, but a little extra food is going to fix me up in no time at all. As you can see from my photo I am very good looking. In fact, I am the definition of “cuteness.” I am recently coming back to AGB as my previous forever famly just wasn't working out for any of us. The decision was best for all involved that AGB come to my rescue again and will find that perfect forever family for me! I am healthy and ready to go on my new adventure. I will probably do best with a stay at home human as I really enjoy being active, and exercise is great to keep me at peak performance :-) An active family who loves the outdoors as much as I do, would be a perfect match for me. I will also need to spend time with my new family learning proper doggie manners as I didn't get much of that being crated all the time!! The nice people here have said that I am a very good boy, sweet as can be and full of energy. You know us Goldens we love being social. Some other things to know about me: I love other dogs and play well. I love people - but what Golden does not? Once you read my bio and see my picture, you will be jumping on that computer to complete an application for me. Now that is getting me excited and my tail is thumping away in anticipation. I am dreaming of long walks and loads of family time with you. With love to give, Bentley
