Kitty's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Kitty's Story...
Kitty was surrendered to Safe Home Rescue from an elderly woman going to a nursing home. He has always been loved, but is a shy guy with new people. It may take a week or more for him to settle into a new environment but once he feels safe he likes to keep an eye on you. He loves to be brushed and tolerates having his nails trimmed. He has been an only cat growing up, but he handles having a small timid dog around the house at his temporary home. He has no litter box issues. He enjoys snuggling and he is real good company! He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FELV, and has been microchipped. His adoption fee is $40.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kitty, a Des Moines Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Des Moines, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Des Moines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Des Moines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Des Moines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Des Moines paves the way for another one to be saved.
