Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Hunter. I am a one year old lab. My foster parents think I am an energetic, smart and loving boy. I am a very good house dog. I am potty trained and do very well when you let me roam freely for as long as you need me to.
I do need some help with my manners and socialization. I get really excited on walks, and because of all the fun new sights and smells, I pull on the leash. I will also let you know that I need something with gentle nips or barks. I like other dogs and am very excited to meet them, but after that I am a little lost and don't know what to do. I am not aggressive, but I do like to try to see if I can be the big boss of my foster brother.
UPDATE 1.4: Now that I have been at the same house getting love, training, and consistency, I am no longer so distracted by my foster brother and doing well with my training and time with him! I think I can go to a home with another dog now, as long as my training and reinforcement of good behavior continues!
I enjoy taking naps on my pillow or sleeping at the foot of the bed all night long. I also like my Kong toys and peanut butter flavored treats.
Because I am a strong boy, I would do best in an adult only home since I still don't know my own strength and size. Oh, and those fun toys you call cats, I really like to chase those, so those critters in my new home probably would not be best.
I will make you a great companion, just as soon as you teach me how!
