7 month old, 7 pound Bamboo is a beautiful, extremely sweet little girl that was being given away on Craigslist in Bakersfield. These ads are extremely dangerous to dogs whose fate is at the probability that "fake families" will takes these dogs for bait for dog fighting. It is a HUGE problem up there. We are rescuing dogs from this area to save the lives of those we can. Bamboo is a an absolute doll. She is a bit unsure of herself at the moment and will need someone who will help her gain some confidence through positive training. She is awful on a leash and will need some help in that area. Don't know if someone leashed her up and dragged her around, but a leash is not her friend.
All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian a lifetime membership to www.mypettrainer.com, and www.lostmypet.com. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them.
