My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Ernest, an 8 month old Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing almost 13 lbs and may still have a little bit of growing to do. Being deaf, I am a bit shy and need to build my confidence in new surroundings with new people, so please be patient with me. I love belly rubs, lap naps and following you where ever you go. I am full of kisses and have award winning cuddling skills. I'm so focused on my people and food that my foster parents have been able to teach me to 'Leave It' with hand commands. My house manners are good as long as I'm taken out regularly. I'm also familiar with the crate but would rather sleep beside you. Playing tug and fetch help me with my puppy energy and I do love to chew, so have those chew toys handy. I will walk around the house with my favorite toy for you to throw and then will curl up to nap with it later. A four legged buddy to play with would be great but they will need to be laid back or patient with me because I can't hear the warnings or growls when I over step my puppy bounds. Sometimes I am startled by sudden peripheral movement since I can’t hear you or others approach so I get a bit defensive. Any other animals in the house will have to be patient and humans watch carefully because though I may overreact, I don’t really mean it. I just feel I have to protect my tiny self. My foster mom will tell anyone, that I'm worth the effort! Just look at my blue eyes and lanky legs and tell me I'm not adorable. Do you have a patient heart open for special needs and room in your lap for me? ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
