My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mandela is a very timid and shy little guy who is afraid until he gains your trust. When he was first rescued he was painfully shy but he has come quite a long way. He enjoys pets and affection from people once he knows them but does have fear of strangers and men. He is getting more and more confident around other dogs. Mandela is a calm and low energy guy who needs a special someone to help him learn that not all humans are hurtful. He is housebroken, good in the home and on the leash but really takes his time to open up and trust humans. He is calm and mellow but also enjoys walks and hikes. This little guy is 1 year old and weighs 10lbs. Mandela is great with other dogs and needs a home where he feels safe and secure. He would do well in a home with another dog. Because he is so timid, we recommend a home without small children.
