Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Microchipped. DOB January 6, 2011.
After five months in a shelter, JJ spends most of her time expressing how happy she is to be in a home. She purrs constantly, and "makes biscuits" (kneads her paws) often. She's very affectionate, but not demanding, and sleeps most nights on the bed, curled up with some part of her touching her foster person. She's a real snugglebug, and prefers to be wherever her foster caregiver is, especially on the couch or in bed! She's also gorgeous: she's a "torbie" (tortoiseshell mixed with tabby) and has rich orange highlights.
JJ likes exploring her new space and she loves sitting in the windows. She also loves sitting in the climbing tree/scratching post, but needs the occasional reminder to use it for scratching. She's adjusted to her foster brothers very well in a short amount of time, and will occasionally play with them, but she prefers to play by herself. And boy, does she play! Even a small condo is bigger than her shelter space and she runs from one end to the other, with joy and abandon. She is very playful with the laser pointer and stuffed mousies, and is also a bit of a catnip fiend. She loves sitting in a sunny window and makes regular trips to the "toy box" to find something to play with.
She eats whatever food she's offered and has excellent litter box habits. She also likes being brushed and was fine with having her nails trimmed. She's not super-keen to be picked up and held, but she doesn't fight it, either--she's a very undemanding, laid-back cat.
JJ would love a quieter home, and while she'd prefer to be the only cat, she has shown she can learn to live with an easy-going cat. JJ loves the calm dog that often visits her foster home -- even curling up with it on the couch. Recently, her foster caregiver had to be away. The teenage cat sitters "complained" that JJ wouldn't leave them alone -- that she kept climbing into their laps and kneading. So she's proven that she's fine with older kids!
Give this gorgeous, easy-going girl her forever home and you'll be rewarded with all the love she can give... and that's quite a lot!
