Ziggy's Story...
Ziggy is another sweet puppy from the “Under the Porch Gang”. He and his mother and 7 siblings were rescued on Christmas Eve after they were found under a porch in the freezing cold. He is a handsome male Border Collie/Aussie mix, a little shy at first, but loves to play with his siblings and cuddle. At 9 weeks old, Ziggy is guickly learning both crate and house-training and walking on a leash. He will be ready for adoption in mid-February, and will be fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped at time of adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Chattanooga Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
